The single mom Ali, a former professional boxer and a Roma, struggles to survive and keep her children by working odd jobs in Hamburg. When she joins the crew at Ritze, a neighborhood bar, the has-been boxer Tanne recognizes her talent and organizes her comeback, for which the young mother has to pay a high price. GIPSY QUEEN is an homage to the history of the boxer film and a courageous milieu study with a bold woman character rarely seen in the cinema.
