Kathrin desperately needs a new kidney. Her husband Arnold could give her the life-saving organ, but he hesitates. When a mutual friend offers to become a donor, this selfless gesture outrages not only his wife. The situation develops into a litmus test for two marriages and the friendship between four people. The prominently cast tragicomedy is based on the essential questions of human exis­tence and pointedly makes us aware of the importance of relationship building.
