The sisters Gini and Resi are close. Sophie Gmeiner was able to capture a Christmas in the old-age home in Kössen: then in spring 2020, the 59-year-old Resi succumbed to her Covid-19 infection. Nonetheless, Gmeiner’s film, despite all of the harshness that Gini tells of, has hardly anything severe about it. Instead, it is an affirming gaze at a lifelong relationship, shaped by tenderness and courage.
