The dance floor as stage. Choreographer Gisèle Vienne and director Patric Chiha take that literally. In Vienne’s piece “Crowd,” fifteen dancers come together for a club night and become one body whose individual components nonetheless remain recognizable. Chiha’s film explores the night and its protagonists in a way in which the fictional and documentary blend, intertwine with one another. Nearly a chemical experiment, full of attractions and rejections.
