Not far from Vienna’s Main Train Station, still just beyond the commuter belt of “urban development,” artists, businesspeople, and tradespeople work and meet one another in a former sausage factory. Paintings are painted over, spaces given new uses, and cars repaired: things are transformed here rather than newly designed on the drawing board. Director Dariusz Kowalski is also one of the tenants; he undertakes laid-back explorations in a dynamic site that is in perpetual transformation.
