Caspar Pfaundler spent several months accompanying practices in two dance institutions—the Vienna State Ballet and the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan. Simply being there is one of the instructions that the choreographer Patrick de Bana gives to his dancers. That is also a modus operandi that the film suggests to its viewers: it’s about being present as body with eyes and ears rather than understanding in a rational sense.
