The influential manager of a German bank is fervently attracted to the wife of one of his employees. As a man with power, he makes use of this and transfers his adversary to Asia. Christoph Hochhäusler relocates the biblical tale of David and Bathsheba to Frankfurt’s financial world, where a bitter battle for survival rages below the shiny façade.
