Marian (Brigitte Hobmeier) returns to the house of her deceased grandmother in a rural area, the Waldviertel. She wants to find her footing again in the solitude of nature, but the place where she spent her childhood turns into one of confrontation, not only with the people from the village, but also with herself. Elisabeth Scharang found inspiration for her modern heimatdrama in Doris Knecht’s eponymous novel. A story of growth and about forgiveness as an emotional tour de force.
