The beam of a flashlight casts shadows on archive photos of so-called “guest workers.” There’s horsing around, dancing, and heated debate. “We’re a community. We dream of revolution.” The members of the Gröpelingen Youth Forum talk about multiculturalism, identity, and cohesion. At the core: the question of political activism and social justice. Between looking at the past, analyzing the present, and envisioning the future, the young people insist: “A fairer world exists.”
