Levin Peter’s grandfather was a German Wehrmacht soldier stationed in the Ukraine in the 1940s. Now, many years later, the elderly man shares his memories with his grandson who films their long conversations, which are often grueling and interrupted by highly emotional moments. An empathetic film about remembering, about the traces found in memories and at sites that tell an, in part, suppressed history.
