Albert has spent his entire life at his parents’ remote mountain farm. When he gets a job in the valley at the marble quarry, changes are necessary, which the introvert, who is afraid of people, has trouble adjusting to. In the end he must decide between familiar archaic, nearly eremitic loneliness and a strange, venturous life among people.
