Narben eines Putsches
Documentary Film, AT/BE 2024, DCP, 102 min, OmeU, OmdU + VI“I’m looking for your scars.” Hands and camera approach a body, searching for the past. The injuries are from a time that the filmmaker has not had access to until now. Why did someone shoot at her husband, who was twenty-two years old at the time, in Turkey in 1976? Narben eines Putsches looks at the blind spots in personal and collective narratives of the protests to the Turkish military dictatorship and shows how the former resistance continues today.
