Empty streets and a few young people in no man’s land. But this small world with the low houses means everything to humble Lenz. Very little is said in this film, but Nicolas Pindeus tells that much more powerfully in captivating black-and-white of a world that is slowly coming to an end. Of a love that is not realized, but in which one wants to believe.
