Bürglkopf

The Return Center Bürglkopf in Tyrol at an altitude of 1,300 meters is meant to provide people with advice during their asylum process. However, the remoteness of the site contributes to a feeling of isolation. The walk down to the valley takes hours while just a few kilometers away a gondola transports ski tourists to the summit. With courage and conviction, Lisa Polster documents conditions at the Return Center, where waiting is routine and hope, a scarce resource.
