
The Srebrenica Tape: From Dad, for Alisa
Documentary Film, DE/AT 2025, DCP, 88 min, OmeUDuring the Bosnian war, Alisa’s father makes video recordings in Srebrenica for his daughter who was evacuated and stores them on a VHS cassette. Years later, Alisa travels back to Bosnia to understand the history of her war-torn family. During her travels, she is confronted with images that her father wanted to protect her from. An intimate search for traces along a unique historical film document. And a renewed examination of the question of how the genocide could have come about.
